Can we restore backup of a site to another?

I am curious about restoring a backup of my blogger site to a new blogger site. One wish to restore all the contents to another newly created blogger site for various reasons. 1) Backup blogger site disappeared with no recourse to restore it by the provider. 2) One wish to have a new URL with the same contents 3) One wish to review the contents which site has been objected and deleted.

Also can one restore the template also to a newly created website?

In reverse order...

The Blogger Backup utility doesn't support template backing or restore. You can do that via Blogger itself.

As for restoring content, sure this utility can backup the posts from one site and restore it to another (that's how I do most of my restore testing... I backup from my main blog and restore it to another...). But please understand that you can only do 50 posts a day per blog (i.e. restore 50 posts a day). This is a limit imposed by Google/Blogger and there's no work around for it.

I hope this helps,
Greg
